C series for ESD protection
These wands are the safest means of wafer handling, and are manufactured in ESD safe materials including PEEK tips. Optimally sized for each wafer diameter, the tip design ensures that contact is both minimal and secure. The contact surface itself is optically polished, providing excellent adhesion to a wafer. Two body styles are available - fixed tip and swivel joint - offering a choice of handling techniques. Our unique wand control valve ensures reliable suction and instantaneous release without particle generation. See Accessories for suitable wand stands, pumps, tubing and condition testing. F series Teflon body
F series wand bodies are manufactured in Teflon and are the cleanest means of wafer handling. Tips are available in PCTFE, PEEK, Vespel and stainless steel. The tips are optimally sized for each wafer diameter, ensuring that contact is both minimal and secure. The contact surface itself is optically polished, providing excellent adhesion to a wafer. Three body styles are available - fixed tip, collet joint and swivel joint - offering a choice of handling techniques. M series Manual wands (tweezers)
These manual wands, or tweezers, allow manual handling of a wafer without excessive contact. Fragile wafers are gently but securely gripped by an optically polished contact surface. This ensures that particle counts are greatly reduced and there is no risk of scratching. PEEK, ESD PEEK and PPS materials are available to suit the application, with a temperature limit of 130°C, while the M800 Vespel tipped stainless steel wands can withstand temperatures up to 288°C. Lockable versions are available for increased security of handling.
Die handling Vacuum wands
These wands are ideal for die and small semiconductor wafer handling. They handle a delicate and fragile wafer, part-wafer or die gently and precisely. The wands are available in ESD-safe plastic or Teflon. A wide variety of nozzles down to just 80 microns diameter are available in various sizes and materials to suit the application. Suction cups from 2.5 mm diameter are also available for use where the application permits. Furthermore, our flat wafer handling tips can be used for large die where contact on the back is possible. Component handling Vacuum wands
These wands offer precise, delicate and reliable handling and are ideal for picking up a wide range of components. Typical applications include all types of PCB work, instrument and general small parts assembly, watch and camera work, lens handling and even jewellery making. Wand bodies are available in ESD-safe plastic or Teflon. A wide variety of tips, including suction cups and nozzles, is available, with many material and size options. Our unique wand control valve ensures reliable suction and instantaneous release. The special "slit tip" is designed for fibre-optic handling and similar applications. Fibre-optic handling with special tips
These wands are designed for handling fibre-optics and are fitted with special "slit tips". They are also ideal for use with fine wires or other small, round components and offer precise, delicate and reliable handling. Wand bodies are available in ESD-safe plastic or Teflon. The specially formed tips are available in several materials to suit the application, including PCTFE, PEEK, stainless steel and conductive nylon.
